I rarely share my music except with my VIPS-- so have a listen to these songs at least for free on Youtube and you may find some great uses for some great unique, and RARE new tunes. As Promised: for free I'll give you 3 easy-to-implement things to do in ANY class or session to help your clients build more brain cells towards neuroplasticity...
These following 3 drills fuse both sides of our brain but use different capacities, functions, and areas of our brains...
1. During a warm-up, have them follow your movement but say out loud their favorite color, then spell their favorite color, and then spell their favorite color
backwards.
2. While doing repetitions of ANYTHING, have your clients count DOWN their repetitions starting with the number 64 and decrease with each rep by 8 (so the first rep they all call out "64," then "56," then "48," then "40," etc until getting down to zero. 3. Call out 2 nonsense words like "zebra" and "pizza." Associate movement patterns with each of these words which you all do together. For example, "today, whenever I say 'zebra,' you stop what you're doing and do ___ number of burpees. Whenever I say "pizza," you go to the floor and hold a V Sit/Boat position and slowly twist your
spine like you are kayaking. During ANY of these two, you have to whisper out loud your phone number backwards until we resume what we were doing normally. You can even do this with cycle by associating two different patterns of movement with these words. For an added brain bonus, make these 2 words from a different language from the normal language of the
class.
