Lawrence's Fall Update

Dear Fitness Friends,

Wishing you a Happy Full Moon from Bangkok, Thailand, where their King has died and the country is in mourning.  This is huge because all of the people I know ONLY know living in a time under his reign, so the country really has to figure things out.  In the meantime, there is NO alcohol to be bought or served in the country, NO music on the radio, and all public lights are covered in black cloths, with temples to mourn established everywhere.

Here’s a quick fall update since June:

After Mykonos, Yury Rockit and I went to the slew of SCW Manias in Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.  We also celebrated his 30th Birthday in the Grand Canyon during the International ISPA Spa Convention where I taught, lectured, and volunteered as auctioneer for their non-profit branch, raising them 100K in 90 minutes.

Seeing many of you on the convention circuit rewarded me after a year sabbatical and gave me a burst of energy.  I loved that many of you even recognized that I was not around during 2015 when you all said “welcome back,” so thanks for that!  I wasn’t sure you even noted my absence while I wrote my book.

The early-fall bombings in NYC really brought back tons of panic and fear amongst New Yorkers.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers during that time.  I was in NYC actually, and only a few blocks from Chelsea when the explosions happened.

Being in NYC was wonderful because I could catch up with friends between conventions: Tracy Edwards on Broadway, Whitney Chapmen from the JCC in Manhattan, Rachel Sibony from Equinox, Stephen Bel Davies who narrated my entire book Stories of Color for an audiobook, complete with character voices!

After the last SCW, we left for Asia to work at AFC in Bangkok which is always a spectacularly fun convention, filled with multi-cultural bombardment and colors from so many countries.  Working behind the scenes on that event as well as presenting gives me both rewarding and challenging reasons to return to Asia with Biskit every fall.  Check out this photograph from the Closing Ceremonies where I spoke.
At the Convention, I supported the Thai Cancer Society in honor of two friends who closely worked with the AFC Convention whom we’ve lost in the last year, unrelated to each other, but to the same kind of lung cancer.
SCW Conventions this year let me give our coupons to all delegates to promote a good or service I offer.  Instead of selling something, I decided it could be unique and cool to offer a “free hug” coupon, and I loved when some of you came up to me during the year saying “I don’t have my coupon with me, but can I redeem?”  And some of you DID redeem!  Thanks for that!  (blushing).  I have decided I want to create a new workshop on the “Anatomy of a Hug.”  Would you take it?
Other News:

PowerMusic and PowerMusic1 just released a compilation I created which is now expertly mixed and is a play on my new fiction book, Stories of Color.  The new music release is “Songs of Color” and features songs of almost every color that have been popular over the past decades.  I chose them and now they all appear in one playlist that works for many types of classes.  This is yours free if you sign up for their free app and download service for the first month.  It is also yours free if you are already a subscriber.
I’m trying a social media push so please if you see anything you like on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, please COMMENT and SHARE it!  I appreciate you.  Also, I’ve begun a new YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook playlist called “TuesdaysTips” with random motivational stuff for you and your clients for you to share and comment.  Thanks. Whatever I can do for you in fitness, please reach out on social media if it’s public-enough, and, if not, via lawrence@findlawrence.com.

Let’s Build This Community together to stay connected at a time when the world seems a very unsteady place and there’s oftentimes doubt about where to go for assistance.
fitCamp 2017 season is just in the preplanning stages for January through May, so if you are even remotely interested in finding out more about what it is, please reach out to me on Voxer Walkie Talkie (a free app) you download in 30 seconds, add me by clicking “findlawrence” and I’ll do the rest.

In the meantime, back at the cottage in Mykonos, news from my gardener informed me of 2 new neighbors who moved in with their farmer owner.  I love my new neighbors.  What do you think?

Last but not the least, I'd like to leave you with the latest instalment of my TV show below, The Good Grapevine:
