Here’s the backstory: on a soap opera, especially on an ABC soap opera—owned and operated by Disney—the actors today only get to work in the storyline based on the number of social
media mentions and calls the studio receives on the character’s behalf. it sounds freaky, but it’s true. (sort of like in fitness, when a fitness presenter at a convention gets high scores on evaluations —including specific evaluations that mention his or her name like SCW Mania tracks and reports to presenters—those are the presenters who are first invited back because the greatest number of people mention THEIR names—which is why evaluations are so
important).
Here’s what I’m asking of you to help someone who has been a huge mother figure in my life for many, many personal reasons. I’ve mentioned her in every book gratitude i have written, and want to support her career as the least I can do now that she needs
me.
Since General Hospital is bringing her back from the dead for 2 days to see what the fan response is, I’m writing to you to say that I want to do my part to help a friend to get ready to blast the studio with a positive response.
Her first air date (back from the dead) in on May 9. If on May 10 and shortly thereafter you would be willing to do one or all of the following, tell me and I’ll be MOST happy to send you a copy of my new CD, “Songs that I Chose,” if you don’t have it, plus any dvds (all dvds) from my instant downloads on my site.
Connie plays the evil Helena Cassadine on General Hospital, taking after a role that Elizabeth Taylor began (but could only last a day before she couldn’t handle it). There’s nothing evil about Connie today, except that she’s a GREAT actress, playing evil really well. (She just shot a movie with James Franco).
1. Send a Tweet to @ValentiniFrank that says something like “@ValentiniFrank: hoooray Helena is back” or “@ValentiniFrank’ I'm going to watch GH now that Helena is back” with the hashtag #HelenaLives
2. Call the studio
hotline at (+1 for USA)- 323-671-4583 and leave a recorded message just saying anything from #1 and then hang up. “I’m just calling to say that I’m so glad Helena was back on General Hospital today” or "Great to see Constance Towers as Helena. Wow, will we be getting to see more of her? If so, I'll be watching even more, looking for her to show up. This was a pleasant surprise.” (If she gets 100 calls mentioning her within 48 hours of the show airing when she’s back from the
dead, ABC offers her a guaranteed contract for 6 more shows writing her into the script. That’s great!)
I doubt you’d have time to do this, but the studio LOVES it if you
do:
3. Send a piece of paper in any kind of envelope via old fashioned snail-mail saying, simply #HelenaLives and I’m so glad to watch
again because Helena is back on General Hospital!” If you actually say “Lawrence told me how important this is to you” and if you put your return address clearly, she will answer you! The nuns whom I support from my website sales at findLawrence.com are ALWAYS amazed at how Connie writes to them to thank them for their support.
