Update #5 of my Sabbatical 2015
Hello friends in fitness.
I’m back in the USA! It’s the time we set aside an entire day to give thanks, and it would be ridiculous should I not give thanks to YOU who make my career have meaning, each and every day, even on sabbatical!
Jeff Howard shared this phrase with me: “Friendsgiving,” which I love, because it really takes the place of the traditional Normal Rockwell family sit-down at turkey day. How many of us have that? I admire those of you that do this, like SuperBetty Bernadette O’Brien, but it’s never been my traditional “thang” to do. I either volunteer or fast on that
day.
Here is a picture of Biskit and me sitting in my flat in Bangkok in November.

After Thailand in October, I came to USA for November. This has been a wonderful time to find my NYC little studio condo completely revamped: I gutted it
while I was traveling (why not, since I’d be away, right?) and redid the important areas. Tons of friends made it possible by checking on construction and projects in my absence. Now I get to reap the benefits for this month! I’m gearing up for a few huge things in my life now, and I’m thrilled to share them with you first.
Many have asked “what did you do on
Sabbatical, and what are you doing next year?”
During Sabbatical, I’ve shot a new TV show for all of you on YouTube called “The Good Grapevine” which will air early in the new year. Its mission is “all the news that’s fit to tell,” filled with inspirational stories.
After Sabbatical, next year, I'm going to stay very put in Puerto Rico for the winter months and run my fitCamps so that people who want to come mentor with me actually get a chance to boost their career in a big way. Those go Jan through May, and then I leave for Europe to be in Mykonos. I will return to presenting, but not every show in every country like I have in recent years.
Coming in January: a new social media look, a YouTube TV show: the Good Grapevine,” free online Periscope office hours, increased free content on my YouTube channel, and my new book and a new vocal CD whose proceeds will go to my charity.
My new book is exciting news to me. It’s my first work of fiction, and I’ve been doing a story each month on sabbatical. What’s even more exciting is that I recorded my second vocal CD, “Songs that I Chose,” featuring one song to complement each of the 12
short stories. Everything will be downloadable in the new year, and 80% of the proceeds will go to my charities: Sisters of Saint Joseph outreach work, the child we sponsor through Save the Children, and the Scholarships I run for SCW, IDEA, and ECA. I hope the book will interest you!
In the interim, just for YOU because you are on this exclusive list, before it makes a
public appearance, I invite you to check this video out: |
